While these drops contain a powerful antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal solution, they are gentle enough to use in the eyes. These eye drops are made from natural ingredients and contain no bleach, alcohol, harmful chemicals, antibiotics, or preservatives. RenaSan is made with hypochlorous technology and contains only water, salt, and hypochlorous acid.

VET-APPROVED: Safe for humans, animals, and the environment. RenaSan’s hypochlorous active ingredient is fully compliant with the European Biocidal Products regulations EU528/2012. It is also approved for type 3 veterinary use.

What is hypochlorous?

Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a weak acid produced in all human and animal immune systems. It is the substance the cells in our bodies use to fight infections and kill invading pathogens. Hypochlorous is one of the most effective known biocides capable of eliminating 99.9999% of all pathogens and leaves no chemical trace. It is the perfect antiseptic to use on the eyes and skin. RenaSan contains 0.015% hypochlorous acid. The ideal concentration to achieve the product's efficacy against pathogens.

Hypochlorous was discovered in the 19th century by a British scientist. It was actually manufactured for the first time in the 1960s. It was initially difficult to make a stable version that had a shelf life so it could be packaged. The only organisations that could take advantage of this incredible product were large scale industrial and agricultural operations such as dairy and poultry units, as well as hospitals, where they produced non-stable hypochlorous onsite for immediate use. The scientific team behind our hypochlorous technology were the first to learn how to stabilise hypochlorous through an electro-dialysis process that produced a product that is stable and can thus be packaged with a shelf life.
